Very nice. I am getting the impression that she is sitting in the mud while putting on her boots.

    Default Girl with Boots

G'day Bob, You snuck this one in between the two Chopper's. Your becoming a bit of a legend at intarsia. Well done mate. One question, what timber is the girl's jacket? It is a most unusual colour. Cheer's Jim.

Hi jim thanks for the kind comments the jacket called for some red coloured wood the nearest I had was sapele which wasnt red enough so my wife suggested using a bit of red food colouring i dont normally like using dyes and stains but I think it worked well on this one

No worries Bob. I can trump that, my GGM on my mothers side came from Kent. My sister spends a lot of time in UK as well, she and BIL have a house near Basingstoke I think, not that far from you. Small world isn't it!!
Is your niece studying here or married to an Aussie?

    Cheers, Ian

I go away for a long weekend and you go and put up another great piece of intarsia Bob.

Have you tried spirit stain buy a trial pack from Axminster you can even mix them to make colours. Mind you rubber gloves are a must a B****R to get it off your hands.
