Gum Tree
These any good for turning, I had one about 200mm diameter come down in the storm.
Worth cutting and storing?
Cheers

I am guessing that some link is down in your post, but the only gum that I have found to be useless is E. nicholii.

Hey Paul,
Gum is good. Cut and store some, but with green gum get into some thin walled bowls. The stress of cracking and end grain checking is somewhat less than a thicker vessel. But not always. Have fun with it and let the shavings flow.
To all things good

My experience is that I've had better results with spindles & platters than bowls.
Makes very good tool handles & cheese/bread boards if it has a pleasing grain.Cliff.
