Blackheart.
My sister brought this blank back from Tassie. Spalded Blackheart Sassafras
150 wide and 75mm high. sanded to EEE No finish yet, will probably use WOP.

I am not the spelling police, but in case you have written the name of the timber on the bottom of your bowl, the correct spelling is Spalted. Sorry to correct you.
It is a lovely piece of timber, and you have turned it nicely, well done

That's a really nice looking bowl. I think the finish will bring out the natural grain patten.
