Default Save from a failed goblet

This little pot is what it left from a goblet I was turning the original lip of the goblet had an accident so cut the log in half and use the good piece to make this pot Unfortunately the wood is unknown. Tried to show all the way around

Sorry for late reply. It is 3 1/2" tall by 3" across the widest point as I said it is from the bottom end of a goblet that I managed to mess up

The rest went into the bin, now back onto the jig for making spoked wheels once the shed is back in order

All is not lost, make a small Straka Chuck to reverse the goblet, then turn a small recess in the base of the goblet cup to take another turned stem. Turn the stem with a small tenon to fit the recess and a shallow cup to cradle the base of the goblet cup to increase the glue bond area.
