Tool post adaptation
Hi folks,
Thinking about acquiring a one way drill wizard to save the hassle of making a jig, but it only comes with a 1" tool post and my lathe has a 30mm banjo.
I'm wondering if I can buy/get fabricated a short section of pipe which is 30mm OD and 1" ID - if I find some with 25mm ID I might be able to drill it out myself despite my woeful metalworking skills!
Does anyone have any comments, or recommendations for a better way?
Cheers,
Danny

Much cheaper and easier to make your own jig .Just get a bit of hard wood a bit more than 30mm square and long enough to fit in your banjo and a bit above center height of your lathe .Bore what ever size hole you need on a drill press , then turn the end to 30mm .

I might have to give that a try before spending the money - just not entirely sure if it'll end up with more runout than I want (the holes are mainly for plugs, so a gap will look terrible!).
