After living in SEQLD for a while and visting the usual hardware spots, My wife took me to a truly magnificent place called Brett's timber and hardware. Located on Newmarket Road iin or around the suburb of Windsor in Brisbane. Brett's has just about anything that one could be after. We usually make the day out of it and the minister will stock up at the K-mart garden centre which is next door. Bretts also have their homeware centre in the same complex and is worth checking out for those bits and pieces for that up coming reno. Last time we were there they even had slabs that they had finished cutting fot a good price as well.

Suburb is Wilston, about 400M from the Wilston Station.

They have a good range.
The homewares (?) shop is great if you are building/renovating.
We've been there 3 times now (from Cairns:eek: ) & we have bought several items from them for our renos.
