    Default Chestnut Burr

After making the half track I needed to do something simple so I have just finished this bowl made from Chestnut burr and measures 9" X 4 1/2" Finished with a food safe oil/Mineral oil and then woodwax 22 paste and hand buffed. This is the one I asked about to burn or not to burn

That's beautiful, is it difficult to turn such an open piece of timber? This is the type of stuff I want to get into.

Like most things if you apply some common sense then these are not too bad to turn.
but I would suggest that you work up to it, small steps and get comfortable with each little step you take.

Thank you guys, this was an interesting piece to turn and I just loved the way as I turned away the layers that the different grain patterns emerged
