Best Table saw under $1000
Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to woodworking and I'm looking for recommendations for table saws under $1000, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm looking to make a few chopping boards, coffee tables etc.
Had a look at this one but thought I'd get some opinions on other ones. -->Makita 260mm 1500W Corded Table Saw - Bunnings Australia
Cheers

Spend a little more and buy a dewalt 7491 or under 1000 if you are happy with a 210mm blade
their rack and pinion fence control is worth the extra bucks

I am a bit of a Makita fanboy but I wouldn’t be in a hurry to buy their table saw again
The fence is very average but the rest of the saw is fine, if you search on utube you will see plenty of videos of people upgrading the fence
The Dewalt has a much nicer fence standard

I'd be going for a used saw; you'll get a better one than a makita for half its new price.

Thanks mate, been looking on Facebook and eBay but haven’t come across anything. Do you know if there is a site that specializes in this stuff secondhand?

I wouldn't waste my time on anything available from Bunnings - already made that mistake.
Hare & Forbes has a few decent options - I bought the SB12 and mounted it on a wheeled frame. Have made my own sleds / jigs / fence extensions for it and I am happy with this one. Only thing that I don't like is the blade guard / dust guard / riving knife mounting arrangement, so I have made my own zero clearance inserts with riving knife built in and I don't use the blade guard.
