    Default What's this timber worth

    Hei Guys,
I have two slabs of raw Jarrah about 600mm across and about 500mm thick.
The timber is about 18 months old, was sealed with endcheck the day it came down and has been stored under cover.

I do not have the lathe capability to be able to do this timber justice and being newly married I could use the cash for the house fund.

Can someone give me an idea of what this timber would be worth?

    Cheers
    Paul

PS Can the mods leave this message here rather than move it to the F/S section - I am not offering the timber for sale, simply asking the experts here for an opinion of value. Ta.

Paul, about $450 each assuming Jarrah is about $2,500 a cube.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and looks like a duck then it's a friggin duck.

Of course if the slabs are only 50mm thick that would be $45 each.

Baz, I take it you are assuming its 600 x 600 x 500? (Its just that only 2 of the three dimensions were given?)

    Paul, is this correct?

Bob yes I did assume that it was 600x600, but thought later that it was more likely to be 50mm rather than 500mm. Maybe its a log sawen in half?
