    Default Red Mallee Burl

Here is a bowl from red mallee burl with a black walnut foot. The foot is my solution to holding it on the lathe, which was good since I could rechuck when the NE attempt did not work well for me. Bowl is 17 cm wide by 6 cm high, including the foot. (6-1/2 by 2-1/2 inches). Finished with Danish Oil, buffed and waxed. My first shot at working a timber from Oz. Wonderful stuff!

    Thanks for looking.

Nice job, DRon. Looks like it might have gotten a mite thin at that inclusion... (Pic 2, lower right side). Thick is good. Purty wood, too.
