Food safe glue
I broke one of the tines on my wife's wooden salad forks and need to glue it back on. Any hints or tips on a "food safe" glue?? The forks a very light oil finish of some sort.

A number of the common glues are considered food safe when cured.
ordinary pva is used to make most seed bells for birds.
most epoxies are considered inert once FULLY cured
Strength is probably a big consideration.
I don't know if the superglue related glues are ok when cured but they are certainly very dangerous in their uncured form can cause irreversable blindness from very small ammounts.
I gather you are in trouble.

Try flowers, chocklets ect.
Any thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

The light oil finish might just about put pay to anything sticking to it long term. I really don't like your chances.

Thanks for the advice. I guess another set are in order. Perhaps it's a chance to try my hand at carving...
