    Default Fret work

I'm making a tall case clock and having a hard time finding any patterns for Fret work typical on the hood of the clock. I searched the net and only found this on a site in the UK. Any suggestions of where to find any patterns.

    G'Day Baddad,
Where on the hood is the fret work for?
The scrollboard or the sides of the hood.

    G'Day Baddad,
Try leather work patterns, They usually involve heavy amounts of scroll in the carving patterns and can be adapted.

All sorts of free antique style fretwork patterns here.... all in pdf format ... only problem is that the format is too big for regular printers... but that can be overcome by opening the pdf in Adobe Photoshop and a bit of fiddle work to get the sizes to fit.
If you're only after a few designs to fit on what you're making - should be fairly easy to extract parts of any of these.

let me know if you need any help or if you can be more specific about what you need.

You could also try carving patterns:

or even papercutting ones..... or try google images .... type in something like "ornamental design" or " scroll design" you'd be suprised at all the stuff that comes up.
