This from Teknatool International re. NOVA chuck adaptors
"" ANNOUNCEMENT ""
We have discovered some NOVA chuck adaptors sold in Australia are NOT the real NOVA Insert Adaptor. Using those inserts on NOVA chuck will likely to make your chuck spin out of round.
We strongly recommend our customers purchase the real NOVA insert for their NOVA chucks. The true NOVA Insert has unique hexagon head as you can see on the right. The copy version usually have a round top section.
For Australian market, we recommend Trend Timbers and their dealers who only sell certified NOVA branded inserts. ""

Have one of each both purchased from CWS. Both run out and had to be remachined to stop chuck wobbling.
regards
David

Bought my SN2 & insert (1"x8) from Jim at CWS, was the genuine article & runs true.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

First (non-teknatool) one was dodgy - didn't seat up hard against a machined flat so it pulled the chuck out of round. Went back and got a teknatool one and all is goot!

T'tool partly to blame for this prob as there was a factory drought of some insert sizes a while back, so others got into the game.
Cheers, Ern
