german shepherd dog
A recently completed painting of Django, my 10 month old German Shepherd.
Pastel on Mi tientes paper.

BTW does Django play the jazz guitar? (Itake it he was named after Django ReinhardtLast edited by Big Shed; 1st September 2008 at 12:56 PM. Reason: Corrected Djangos' instrument

Correct. He was named after Django Reinhardt. My wife wouldn't let me call him Fender. He is my third shepherd. I painted him from one of about 50 photos. He doesn't stay still long enough to paint him from life. (He hardly stays still long enough to take a photo). His hobbies are chewing up anything made of plastic and landscape gardening. I'll post some more dog paintings when I get them sorted out.

You really know your way around pastels! And, by the look of it, photography, if this is from a photo - the shading is wonderful!
