Get Your Cheap Turning Brass Here
I am posting this here because some of the Turners maybe keen to get in on the action. Brass can be turned on a Wood lathe using standard lathe tool. Big shed has already gotten in on the deal and got himself some 386 Brass Alloy rod, to turn.
If you head over to the Homade Tools and Jigs are we have been setting up a Bulk Brass Order, we already have gotten a whole sheet of 360 Brass to share amongst forum members.
The basic rule is the more we get the cheaper it gets and if we get a full 3600 mm length it gets like 25% cheaper then if you were to walk of the street and buy it yourself.
We are about to wrap this up so you really only have until Wednesday the 24th to get in on the action as we want to get the stuff by Thursday the 25th.
We will cut to length for you, pick can be arranged in Melbourne (Footscray) or postag via Australia post (limit of 105 mm lengths), See here for postage cost calculator.
We are getting it from George White and if you go to their brass catalog page here
Currently we still have some 30 mm and 10 mm brass rod (Good for turning), 101.60 mm x 19 mm brass flat, and 25 mm x 19 mm brass flat going. However any size listed on George White brass catalog page can be gotten, and if their in enough demand and we get a a full 3600 mm length some nice savings can be made.
A few of us would love also to pick up a whole sheet of 4 mm 260 brass sheet. However their was not enough of us. So if you are looking for some nicly priced brass cheaper then come on over to The Bulk Brass order and get involved. Make sure to state the exact dimensions and type of Brass Alloy you want to get.
