    some keyrings - the huon I know, but what's the other timber?

    Oh OK.
    the pot is Australian red cedar, the keyrings, tough one, too hard. I know several timbers that colour but it's too hard to say.

    Would it help if I discribed it?

    It had a very close curly looking grain, and the dark bits were a surprise. I thought it might be some sort of burl, but it was too soft. Not as soft as cedar or silky oak or campher, but maybe aoub the same as blackwood or sassy.

    It was pinkish before I polished it, then went a bit more brown.
