    Default A T Model Toy

I recently came across some 1989 Practical Woodworking magazines and one had the basic plans for a T Model Ford. It stands about 280 mm high and is 440 mm long so it quite a bit bigger than the previous toys I have made. The wheels and tyres were turned from Jarrah and the spokes are hoop pine dowel. The side walls are Silver Ash and the rest is made with pieces of She Oak, BH Sassafras, Silky Oak and Jarrah.

Best T model I have seen.
You make wonderful models RUDDY.They never fail to impress me.
Those wheels look a top job.Did you do any WIP on them.
.Where do you find all the room to store your Toys?
At the rate you turn them out you may have to put on an extra room
I better start practicing this wheel making business

    Thanks all.....
Aussie, I will take a picture tomorrow of the back showing the two doors with the concealed hinges and the mini magnets to keep it shut.
That was the first time I have made spoked wheels and I learnt a few things from the experience. Those wheels are about 100 mm diameter and the hubs have a 5/16" Dia brass shaft holding the wheels as an axle.
I have raised the bar a little for me and am now making some spoked wheels where the outside tyre diameter is only 50 mm. This means the tyres are thinner, the rims are smaller and the spokes much smaller and the hub very small..........These small wheels are for a toy truck I am making for my nephews new born son. When it's finished I will post a picture.
If anyone wants a copy of the basic plans for the T model Ford let me know. I didnt follow them exactly but there is enough there for anyone to make something similar.

Great work Ruddy, and I note that this Model T looks like all the other Model T's even though it is an 89' model.

Yes please, I would like a copy of the plans.

Aussie....and anyone else who is interested!....
These are some pictures of the rear doors of the Model T. I have also included a close up of the wheels.
For general information I have included pictures of some real T Model Fords that give you a few ideas on what they really looked like,
