    Default sandpaper punch

Getting a 3" ID pipe with a steep angle ground on it by a machinist friend in town. I will have a cap welded on it and sharepen the edges very well and hammer out some cheper disks by buying them in a huge roll. Rather than trying to hammer them out, would pressing them out be better? Unfortuantely the arbor press my uncle owned has since been sold after he passed away. Any pics/comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks Bob.

I learned this the hard way by having to replace a pair of my wife's quilting scissors thinking she would never notice. That was a $45 mistake and a great additional Mother's Day gift idea, hence the creating of my punch.

when i was floor sanding we had a device made for cutting 7 inch disc's with a 1 inch hole in the middle.
worked in the drill press was just an adjustable arm with a little sharp wheel on the end hard to describe but it did a very good job.
the wheel that did the cutting was very much like the wheels on oxy cutting guide rig if you know what i mean .
it cut the outside of the disc then we used a bell punch to knock out the middle hole
can't think where i would find a picture of one.

those cheap holesaw sets work for me, just grind the outside edge sharp, and stick it in a battery drill

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

A piece of 2" stainless and a piece of 3" stainless from the local Mr Muffler, a friend with a metal cutting lathe and two pieces of nylon is all that's needed.

I quite like that solution - very simple and effective.
