    Default Jarrah Burl Bowl

    Hello All
Been very busy lately and here are a couple pf photos of a Burl bowl for a wedding present. The burl is very dark (red table cloth probably doesn't help) and is finished with 8 coats of Danish oil. The dimensions are approx 30cm x 6 cm

PS Forgot to add (as Ozkaban noted) the hole was a rotten. I touched it up with a blow torch to make it look like it had been in a forest fire (which it had) but looks better than the rot

Willy, I like it. I've never worked Jarrah but I imagine it's similar to redgum. That's mostly what I turn with. Both timbers make great presents!

    Beautiful bowl

Even the hole is strategically placed - it will stop them using it for their morning porridge

    Cheers,

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.
