Hinges on thin walled boxes?
Im finally getting into the wood again. The current project is a couple of boxes one with 6mm walls and the other about 8mm. I was going to set butt hinges on the insides of the boxes and remove timber where the roundy bit of the hinge is. Does anyone have other great ideas?

Home made wooden hinges are pretty easy to make and you can just glue them onto the back and lid. You can route out a 1-2mm recess for the hinges to make it look better.
Beats trying to screw anything into such thin stock.
Cheers,
