... and very humorous, besides beautifully executed. Like a 3D version of a Gary Larson cartoon.

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
but while where on the subject of our feathered friends, I bring you, without his permission, direct from wherever, the one, uno, mondo and only Michael Leunig. Just to cheer you up for winter.

Frankly, ya gunna love this one, ya gotta
Charles Ray’s hulking new sculpture—thirty-two feet long and ten years in the making—is based on a decaying, hollowed-out log the artist happened upon off Highway 1 on California’s central coast. Casting about for a way to reanimate the log, Ray traveled to Japan to consult Yuboku Mukoyoshi, a master wood-carver from Osaka. Returning to his studio, Ray cut the timber into hundreds of pieces and took silicone molds of each section. These molds were then shipped to Japan, where Mukoyoshi and his team reproduced each segment in carved Hinoki cypress.

I don't know about the sculpture (your picture does not have enough detail ), but it is certainly a wealth redistribution project. Who is paying for the ten year's labour of the team? I would also be very interested in the details to assess the money laundering opportunities... Does anybody know good sculptors in the Cayman Islands? I could consider buying some of their art...
