Help for a beginner
Not really a beginner but someone who wants to start. Ive been trying to think of something to do with the old christmas trees we throw away. I thought i could cut up the trunk and carve something out of it. I saw something on tv where he did the carving with a dremel. I thought i'd be more able to learn this than with chisels.
First of all, will sappy xmas tree wood be a problem with carving. Second, how would i go about taking the bark off? Third, what is the best way to start out by self teaching. Know any good books or websites? I'd like to learn about chisel carving and dremel carving.
