new member,new work
just finished these two pieces, the sea eagle is in white beech and weighs 260kg .the figure study stands about 750mm tall and I dont know what the wood is,I would like to find some more flesh coloured timber for figure work.any suggests?

l have used cedar comes out ok
how long did it take to finish those two pieces.. good wook

thanks for the feedback folks,
yeah arty, I have to sell the stuff so I can afford to make the next piece.
and the knee is flat(I was going to say it was the photo , but it's not)

Wonderful work, U. Did you live in Adelaide in the 80s by any chance? I met a professional sculptor then who loved to carve birds like your eagle, could it be you?
As regards the flesh coloured timber, you would love to carve Pinus Cembra (pic attached) but you would need to import it...
