    Default 25 degree bevel??

    what is the easiest, most accurate way of doing a 25 degree bevel anout an inch wide on the edges of a table top?
    I was thinking hand plane any other ideas?

    It can be done on a tablesaw, but there's plenty of scope for things to go awry that way. As you said, it's easy enough to do using a hand plane. Mark the angle on the sides using a marking knife, so that when you plane the ends they don't splinter off past the cut. Mark out in pencil where the bevel will come to, and plane down to those lines, estimating the angle of the plane. As you get close to them, you can adjust the plane angle. Plane the ends first.

    I think that the easiest way to do a 25° bevel woulod be to build a sled for your router. Use a straight bit that can be plunged. A small fence built into the sled would control the width of the cut.

    Mark off the lines and plane to them.

    You can also fix a 25 degree guide to a handplane so that the angle is maintained more accurately.
