Seems like a hell of a lot of work drilling all those holes and getting it right. Why not just rest the slats on a rail or in a groove cut in the side rails like 99% of slatted bed bases.

The sort of device that BC100 is after is for making orthopedic adjustable slat or flexible slat beds, particularly used under a Latex or foam mattress. The slats are inserted under convex compression and then give to the shape of your body so you'll find that a lot more than 1% of beds use this method.
I've got a dunlopillo which uses a similar system but it isn't quit ethe same. See this link: http://www.dunlopillo.com.au/Catalogue/Bases/Slat.asp
BC100 - I suggest you contact some bed makers to see who uses them but I'm not sure if they'll sell them to you directly?
I found a couple of companies who make them:

If all you're after is curved slats (I don't think the brackets give you any adjustment, but I'm prepared to stand or sit corrected) then just cutting them long and trapping them in a rebate would suffice. Spring slats into deep rebate, lay batten over top and screw batten down between each slat. You could cut little rebates into the batten so the slats are prevented from moving fore and aft as well.

Not sure he wants a bow in the board. I think he means they rais and lower them so the legs and head can go up and down. My question is why plastic. In 5 to 10 years the things are going to break. Plastic, Bah Humbug
