Bending Timber
I would like some help with timber types. I am after some timber which lends itself to steam or heat bending process.
The pieces will be about 2m long and 40mm x 40mm. Radius would be about600mm maybe 700mm.
Timber colour is not important. Do you start with seasoned timber? I live in northern nsw.
Its a project which if local timbers can be used i will proceed with, any one able help or give me some advice?
Thanks in advance
Mike

The American magazine Fine Woodworking did a very good article about bending wood.
Try Taunton.com/finewoodworking/index.asp. If you are still interested let me know and I'll try and find the article. Alternatively do a search in their articles list.
