I've a Bunnings about 200 metres from home and I've been shopping there for over 20 years since it was a BBC shop (even longer if you go back to Peak Frean biscuit days). It's a handy place to drop in for lunch on the weekend - there's always a sausage sizzle on for some local group.

I've never had any faulty merchandise from them - hardware or sausage!
They've usually got what I want even if I have to look for it my self. The timber guys are the exception and there's one man in the tool section who knows his stuff or at least knows where everything is.

The only complaint I have is that you can see my house from the store but it's still $40 for delivery. [If it'll fit in a trolley, I sometimes home deliver ) ]

Sorry if I've drifted a bit OT here. I did once apply for a job but never heard anything back. There, we''re back on topic

$17.50 a hour is the current rate as a cabinet maker for me. (rates may vary accross the country) what rates and allowances. I am currently looking for a new job, even receptionists have a better award rate.

That doesn't sound like a lot for the hourly rate of a skilled cabinet maker. And on the same score, it is not an awful lot for a skilled receptionist - though it could be a lot for an awful receptionist. That works out to only about $25000 a year!
