Cabinet Hardware
G'day,
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I am relatively new - apart from spending a long time reading other posts, etc.
I am building a desk which will have some shallow drawers that require a push catch - ie. I am not putting handles on the shallow drawers immediately above the footwell.
Having used push catches before I am trying to track down a specific type of catch - it is the same as the one securing the attic door in my Dad's house. The problem is that I can't seem to track them down in Australia.
I can find them on British hardware sites listed as loft hatch touch catches, but they don't seem willing to ship them to Australia. The following is an example of the catch I am trying to get hold of:

Does anyone know where I can source these locally?
Cheers,
Iain

You could also try Hafele at http://www.hafele.com/au/.
I recently bought some touch catches from them. Have a look through their online catalogue.

Thank you all -
I seriously looked for weeks before posting, but I checked each of the suggested sites and finally found it in the Hafele catalogue - page 4.74 if anyone else was after these catches.
During the course of my travels I also thought I might try the push release drawer runners - some of the ones at the Elraco site look like they might be worth a try.
The reason I was keen on a separate latch was so I can mount it on a block and if it fails I can unscrew the block from underneath the desk and release the drawer to repair the catch.
I really appreciate the tips.
Cheers guys,
Iain
