Organized chaos is the term for us I would say

Only thing that gets me is outside foreign matter (dirt, gravel etc.), which I sweep out the door.

The only stuff I routinely clean is turning mess, so that the pups can have their beds in front of the lathe, otherwise it is a mess. I think I might have to clean my bench again as I have no room to do anything

Differences of opinion prevail - SWMBO says it is a disgusting rat hole. I say it has a lived-in quality.

It is a bout to get the shock of its life today. Yesterday's heavy rain in Sydney has caused a flood in there - 3" of water over the entire floor.

After pumping out, all crap will be outside and in the bin!

My wife runs a mosaics class in MY shed, during the week.

So I make a mess over the weekend and the n tidy up for the mosaics girls, then she tidies up for me afterwards.

Not pristine clean, that's for sure, but when I keep tripping over the shavings, dust and little bits of timber, then it's definitely time to do a big clean up

    Wendy has curtains, 'nuff said

Mine swings between a rat-hole and tidy. Rat hole during projects and tidy in between jobs, mainly because I put all the tools away between jobs.

Mine gets cleaned up once in a blue moon or when I have a get together and even then it's never a full clean, always stuff laying around. If I start having too much trouble locating items or have tripped over that same piece of wood for the twentieth time, well then it's time for a clean up

The amount of dust I have around my workshop, I though I would eventually get lung cancer. So I ended up getting a cheap bag-less vac from Aldi. Give it a vac once a week. It only takes about 5 mins but it makes a hell of a difference. Can't live without the vac now.

Mine gets swept whenever it needs it - hate having sawdust & stuff underfoot. About once a week it gets dusted down, vacuumed and mopped, and all the machines cleaned and serviced.

i've had a iRobot Dirt Dog for almost a year now. It's made a big difference in how tidy the shed looks when you walk in. Partly because you have to get the cords and bigger offcuts off the floor before you set it loose.

I would call my shed tidy, in that the messy, unorganised bits are contained, ie individual shelf is an absolute mess.

Hmmmm, the stash of offcuts sitting on top of the metal shelves is now becoming uncontained. Stability seems to have been lost and its begun dropping pieces as I poke another bit in.

My shed is usually spotless, I do fiarly big projects in a small space so I tend to put my tools back on the wall even while I'm working which sounds a pain but it actualy works realy well because you don't spend time looking around for your tools, they're always just there. I brush and sweep up sometimes through the day while working and then again before I leave. I also have a lot of clients call in to look at my work, their projects and progress. It looks far more professional and much safer for them and me.
