    Default Completed Vanity Desk

    G'Day

My wife has wanted a vanity desk for a while and I finally finished the desk and bits and pieces. It never finishes at just a desk, you need a chair and then something to hold up the lights, oh and a box for the stuff that accumulates on the desk.

My wife did'nt ask for the extras but it gave me a good excuse to make some stuff and build up experience.

The desk is made of Tassie Oak finished in Oraganoil as well as the mirror frame that sits on the desk. The box is Tassie Oak with a Jarrah handle. The pedestals for the lights are made of MDF also finished in Organoil, I like the look of MDF when it has been oiled (but you have to be really carefull with the glue overruns as these really shine through).

The whole lot was made on the fly designing as I went except for the piano stool which I used a design from the internet.

    Cheers
    Rodney
