Drawer runners problem !!URGENT!!
ok i have got a drawer that dont want to seem to fit onto the runners. t
he opening for the drawer is 70mm and the drawer is 65mm so tis a tight fit. im using 550mm metal drawer runners, i have asked many people about the situation adn the most plausable option i got from a ccabinet maker friend. he said that there should be a 45 degree bevel off the back of the drawer so that it allows the drawer runners to fit
what are your thoughts?
cheers G

grantorino92,
What sort of runners are they?
If they are the standard Bunnings type (can't remember the brand name off the top of my head) they need round 12-15mm clearance EACH side - you have only 2.5mm.
No idea how bevelling the back of the drawer is going to help though
More information please

DJ,
Yeah, you're right - 65 MM drawers is a tad tiny - guess I was adding a zero - I hate that
So a bevel may in fact be the answer - - Grantorino has to allow for the bearing wheels to climb up over one another to get the drawer in an out of the runners and those wheels are about 20mm in diameter so that's the clearance he'll need
