" Should our ears be burning? " IMO No. for that implies that the way this board is run is wrong.

Sure it is different from the Seppo boards but who are they to say that it is wrong just because it's not done the american way.

I don't think we should even need to explain that, unlike them, we call a spade a spade and not a bl***y shovel or that when we refer to "forum gods " we are being just a tad sarcastic or what a fumping bench is.

This holier than thou attitude which pervades all seppo thinking, whether forum rules, politcs or foreign policy or whatever, is what makes them unpopular throughout the world, and yet they don't seem to see that.

Of course if I posted this on their board it would be deleted and yet they talk of freedom of speech.

    Peter.

    WOW

the way I read it, most of those guys were complimenting this forum. and the fumpin' bench comment was a joke. I guess that might be hard to read though because no one jokes around here.

-Ryan, a yank, an individual. who hopefully comes across as holier than absolutely no one.

Ryan, I have already told you that I consider you to be an honorable Aussie so you are automatically excluded from my previous and following comments.

I can't see how their post on "fumping bench" was a joke for he said that if posted on their board it would be deleted. I suppose that's their type of freedom of speech.

I have previously seen their posts and find them boring and lacking life and vitality and yet I don't start a thread criticizing them for that. So what makes them think they should criticize us?

I am all for live and let live but the trouble is that the seppos seem to think that it is live and you must live like us.

Hahaha, it makes me laugh to think that they may even now be reading this thread and criticising us further...

I'm yet to figure out what's so rudey dudey, confrontational, or anything else regarding a fumping bench. Perhaps Ryan can fill me in.

I think Derek meant our ears should be burning, simply because we were being talked about.

Certainly there does seem to be an underlying tone of jealousy on their part when discussing this board and the way some of you people carry on. I mean life is serious, we are not here to enjoy ourselves and I think we should take a leaf from their book and only discuss matters in a serious tone.

Now how we gonna talk 'bout pancakes and the pros and cons of their sharpeining from now on has me beat.
    Boring signature time again!

It is a cgi script, and they would do themselves a lot of favours moving on to VBulletin, phpBB or any of the many other free database driven Forums.

May be DanP could arrange that for us whilst wearing foilies and eating pancakes.

BTW I always thought that they were mugshots, ie shots of mugs.

Click on new posts ... then next to last post (name) there is a little arrow. It will take you to the last post .... not the last unread post but it is easier to scroll up to find the last unread post.

From various friends in different parts of the USA. I understand the word "fumping", could be thought of as someone doing the horizontal tango.
