Strewth Cliff, when I first came on the forums I was considered by the local industry an "expert" .....a consultant even(thats what I get paid for anyway)
Now after conversing with you lot I believe I no longer in any honesty can state this . So I do things with wood to make it betterer and then facilitate others acquiring these skills.
Crikey now I've done confused myself

Okay Cliff ya got me...I use those screws to make the wood betterer, by joining different pieces together to make useful things out of it, thats betterer than a heap of sticks I'd reckon, sorta same as Mick does except I can't make a quid doing it  So I make a quid or two confusing others professionally

Not much actually as it turns out, just ask my wife.

Have been known to fix down battens, 35mm decking and Hwd 3x2's 40mm industrial floors etc with them in the past though.
These days I'm a follower of the darker side so I don't make stuff with wood anymore, I just play with my tools (and fixtures)and screw around in the shed.

OK, so they are ornamental now then?

Does that make them Art, Collectable or just lazy?

I use whatever screws are most appropriate. Mostly phillips head woodscrews I guess. Sometimes zinc plated.
