Furniture screws and cams
I recently purchased several flat packs fron Bunnings, simply damn good idea. Now i have to build a custom sized cupboard to fit in between a 4 drwer cupboard and a doubled door cupboard. The flat pack contains a type of screw i have never seen but wish to buy. It has a 5 mm length coarse screw end, that screws in to the side of the cupboard, then there is a 1cm length of plastic or the thickness on the top of the cupboard, then there is a phillips headed screw that slides through a hole in the top and a 1 cm hole allows you to place a cam that meets with the head of the screw, turning the phillips headed end pulls the side closer to the top and forming a neat finish with any unslightly screws and such in sight. To cap it off, there is a plastic cap the fits over the phillips heaed screw and hides the screw.
Any help in naming these screws and where can i buy them would be muchly appreciated.
Thank you
Peter Douglas

Pretty much all the knock down fasteners are available in Bunnings large stores (and Mitre10) - but good luck finding where they have hidden them.
At Artarmon I think they are with the replacement door rollers for ally doors, but they keep moving things - must be a plot to stop customers reducing their stock levels

KD Fittings
Hi Peter 1954.
Those knock down fittings can be found in the cataluoges of all the major joinery suppliers. Start with Blum, Hettich and Hafele. If you don't find them there there a'int no such thing. Warning; minimum supply quantity could be a problem.

I have bought them in Bunnings but they come in packs of only 4 so could be expensive if you need a few.
