The joys of a new tool!
Having succumbed to the charms of a Jet SuperSaw (with sliding table, and roller base), which is due for delivery tomorrow (yes, Sunday! - Thanks to the guys at WW Warehouse!), I decided that a shed tidy was in order
Well, after having shuffled the timber stash (that is, the stash inside the shed, plus all the various wheeled bits of kit, the assorted cabinets and other odds 'n sods, I've 1) managed to release about another metre length across the shed by careful re-arrangement of stuff), and 2) have completely re-arranged the ducting for the D/C; I now think it to be quite a bit better.
Along the way I managed to fill, three times over, the shop vac with various piles of erstwhile hidden sawdust
What I need now is a buyer for the 12" contractor saw - and a day or so playing with the new saw to get used to it. Ach shame!

Steve, before finding a final resting place for the new saw, work out how you can pass a panel over it. I found the panel pass technique told me where it had to go, and it wasn't where I originally planned.

I'll post a pic or two of the saw-less and (more or less) dust free) shed later today.
I'm still trying to work out where to place the new TOY (), but wielding full-size panels isn't an option in my shed; just not enough space
Later!

I wondered where you were mate - should have given either Robert or me a call...
Anyway, Robert arrived at about 10:30 and we unloaded the cartons, had a cuppa and a yarn, then when he'd gone I started the unpacking and assembly process.
All went well, apart from having to mount and dis-mount the (blerry heavy!) sliding table a couple of times as it kept slightly (just a half a balls-hair) moving the front & rear rails so that the rip fence was catching on the table.
After a strenuous bout of that old shed standby of a good swear and a smoko, I finally got it all together properly.
SWEET machine! Much smoother and quiter than the Sherwood - but then again is $ x 2, so you pays your money...
The only thing I find is that the Jet wheeled based is a bit flexible (doesn't have the cam-action raising/lowering of my other wheeled bases that also have solid surface stops in for the lowered position).
I've yet to fine tune the sliding table's angle guide (a sort of a mitre guide), but that won't take long. I decided instead to sit back with a cool beer and a warm Jambuck (this IS Melbourne!) and admire the new shed inhabitant
Pic 1 is the shed minus its customary big orange beast
Pics 2 & 3 show the new inhabitant (the DC works very well too, with the over & under arrangement)
Now all I have to do is find some excuses as to why the Buffet hasn't progressed much this week-end...

When are we doing your shop tour video ?
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

If someone wants to bring a video camera, then any weekend, but it'll be a very short tour Of course, I could always throw in a bit of hand plane jointing or some Domination

Wow, that's a nice looking toy! And the shed looks pretty good too. In pic1 I notice some dowels protruding from the front face of your bench - what are these for? And I also see how the wood VISE (see General forum) is mounted in your bench.

Steve, we have now seenthe photos.
Are you concerned at all by the potential agrophobia as you cope with the expansive area of your workshop, or have you chosen to join the in-crowd, the JETS of West-side Story fame?
