Default Is there a market for a large dovetail jig kit?

Hi Guys, I've recently finished a rather long wall unit made from F17 KDHW. I wanted to use dovetails on this material, but couldn't find any system that could do 45mm thick material. I ended up getting a router cutter made and made up a couple of templates ( as in the pic).
Anyway, my question is do you think there would be any demand for such a dovetailing system for thicker timber?

Nice jigs and work you got there, looks very tidy.

On a different but related subject I've always wondered why dovetail saws are set up with depths of cut as deep as they are. Most dovetail work is on material 20mm or thinner around here.

More directly to you question I think that a large format dovetail jig would be useful for the table/workbench crowd but it would be a relatively limited market.
Innovations are those useful things that, by dint of chance, manage to survive the stupidity and destructive tendencies inherent in human nature.

Yes 20mm or thinner is common here also. There are numerous brands of jigs available to accommodate this size material, as you would well know, but nothing for large sections. I'm in the process of getting quotes to cnc machine these up.

Hi Guys, Just an update on the jigs. I drew up the new versions a couple of weeks ago and sent the files off to have them CNC machined. The two samples arrived back on Thursday. They're up to specs and look really good with the anodising and laser etching.I'll get some decent pictures happening for marketing purposes before setting them up on timber framing.
