using 25mm thick that calculator estimates that i would get a 11mm drop with radiata pine over that distance, given a 50kg uniform load (probably 15mm over time).
Results for common thicknesses of MDF or ply are not as good. I think I will go with pine, but build a center support out of some spare tas-oak (sag goes down to about 1mm then)
