    Thumbs down

I hate picky barstewards! I still have nightmares  from only a few years ago when I took my wife to a Stitches & Craft show at Jeff's Shed before it moved to Caulfield.
So what! I used a bit of poetic licence and I apologise.
I will endeavour to be more accurate in future.

I have just confirmed with a third party (that I am setting up with a new lathe and tools) that we are going on Friday.
Don,t know what I will be wearing, never know what I am wearing until I am ready to get dressed.
    Cheers

    Thumbs up See You There

Stand 35 for us. Look for the big Felder tower.

Unfortunately I won't be able to leave the stand to indulge in a pow-wow at the Cafetorium, so make sure you stop by and say g'day.

Now my only challenge is to remain coherent on a Friday....

    G'day Felder,

Does that mean it's your shout at the Felder stand?

As long as you're happy to stick to virtual beers, then yes.

    G'day Felder,

"Good afternoon Sir, can I help you?", says Felder.

    "Just looking mate", says customer.

"Here Sir, while you're looking enjoy a virtual beer, it's on me", says Felder.

Yep, that'll work a treat.

I spent a coupla hours there this morning and had elevensises with a few forumites, including, Groggy, Scooter and mini Scooter, Kevm, Alexs ( no gap ), Gumby (HB Gumby ), Waldo, Auld Bassoon, Kiwibruce and Don.

I also met up with, Wood Borer and Mrs WB, Felder ( thanks for the free pass, much appreciated ), , U, Beaut, Stoppers, Stu, Jim Carrol, Im sure there are a few Ive forgotten, sorry.

I took some piccies of the stuff there but non of the ugly unwashed forumites.

    I bought 2 nice Pfeil carving chisels from Carvatec, a #7L/25 and a # 7/35, nice chisels..

My deoderant must have give out, I went for a coffee fix, when I turned around they had all buggered off.

I got a few bits 'n pieces and a nice slab of Silver Ash.

I also kept my wife happy. I came home and told her that I was really good this year and didn't buy anything I didn't want.
    She was pleased with that.
(I hope she doesn't think about it for too long )
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

    Default Friday 20th

Here are a few pics from the show, more to come.

I thought the show was the best I've seen at Jeff's Shed. There was room to walk around, lots of exhibitors (Leda was noticeably absent ).

What I really liked was the work on display. I have a few pics but could not get more due to a battery failure in the camera (don't buy a Kodak EasyShare CX7530, bluddy things need a power cord). Tomorrow I'll take the 10MP Canon

I highly recommend the stand from the Australian School of Woodwork. There is some fantastic work there and you should all go and see it. There were the usual reprobates there, I'll let others name the faces in the pics.

(Cliff - I managed a big & loud happy birthday Gumby for ya )

BTW, the father/son combo is Scooter and The Trike.
