    Default Mitre Cut Advice

I am trying to cut a number of 550mm rafters (for the dog house), they need to be mitred at 45mm at each end, with the longest bit 550mm.

Using my triton WC 2000 what the best way of getting this done?

I have no problem in doing the mitres per se, just making the result to be 550mm

    Any advice appeciated.

    Tape.
    Rule.
    Calibrated string.
Guess one and cut the rest the same.

Clamp a board to the mitre face of the protractor which is lnger than the timber you need to cut. Clamp a block to that so the timber is the right length at the blade. Then just put other pieces on the board and cut away. They'll all be identical.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.
