I seem to recall that all high speed steel used by P&N come from Austria??
Someone will put me right for sure.

P&N Ownership
Would seem that P&N were purchased by Sutton Tools a 100% Australian owned company, check details here http://www.sutton.com.au/page.swhtml?page=about.
In my opinion, P&N Woodturning tools are in the upper half of turning tools, available in Australia. Check out the full catalogue here http://www.sutton.com.au/uploads/dow...%20Leaflet.pdf

I like P&N wood turning tools.
They seem to hold the edge very well.

I agree with David. I have several P&N turning chisels, and whilst they might not be as bright and shiny as some of the imported ones they certainly work, and wear as well as any. Buy Australian!

Hi!
Anyone read the latest edition of "Fine Woodworking"? (my copy arrived today). In that there is a review of brad-point bits (available in the U.S. market, but included a couple from China).
Not very surprisingly, the best score was achieved by bits from Lee Valley. Mid price too.
BTW: the "Federal" table in the mag is just gorgeous...
Cheers!

Sprog.........Power Tools and Machinery in Bayswater sell P&N turning tools. They don't stock a lot but will get them in.
Might be just as easy getting them from Carrols Woodcraft supplies.
