Recycled...80%
This unit is nearly completely recycled material....only the legs are new.....every other piece is recycled, I collect from Rubbish Road side verges...look exclusively for bed's being thrown out....slats...side rails...fantastic....certainly makes a huge difference financially.... I really could not continue my hobby if I had to purchase timber....(Well twelve months ago I purchased a pack of timber)...but that's it...about 1/2 way through that now....restoring & improving furniture is great, but mostly constructing it is best....for me!
In back ground of bed end...there is a pile of wood....this is about 1/3 or my wood stack...all recycled timber....must admit...the thicknesser is escential for this type of woodwork....
as long as you ....square up....make it same thickness &width...your set...
ok....next reason for posting here....
I usually post in "whispering section"....no more....don't like whispering about my woodwork...would rather shout from the roof tops....Hey...Ed was deaf, & would be upset...if he couldn't hear...LOL LOL
..... especaily when the computer results speak for themself...the traffic flow here is obviously saying more people read this section....
So....guess you will be getting more of my pictures & posts, do you think it worth a try anyway!
Cheers...
KEKEMO!

you would be amazed at what is thrown away in the tip...sadly wandering through and "helping yourself " is now either illegal ..or you pay for what you take ..

Recycled
Great stuff Kekomo!!
I once made some laminated beams from recylced timber, business was glad to rid themselves of it. Engineer saw the beams and asked me if I was going to park the "Queen Mary" on them. So they were OK.

...counting down....
.......last big day to work on this...(Coolgardie safe unit)
going out right now to start on final shellac....then I have to add the flywire...hate this daylight saving...too dark earlier to start...lol
Just added an essential item to my wish list....
I need a "cafe-bar"....you know one of those self-serve coffee machines that Carba-tec have....not that I use their's I'm on the run so much when I go upto Perth, I don't have time to stop there...but..just thinking one down the shed...would mean less time...coming up the house for my cuppa!!!!!
But the glue does have to dry.....
....mmm thats when you hang the washing out....mop the floor...or do the oil change on the car....mow the lawns....wash the dog....
..Was thinking about advertising for a boarder...who likes house work....don't think that would work....LOL...my luck they would want to come down the shed too!!!!
NO...will just have to stay as is.....
Cheers KEKEMO
