    Default Shed Plans

Hi I would like to build a shed/workshop 2900mm width and 4400mm length and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some plans to do this.

    Yep,
your local architect, engineer, design draughtsman, or kit shed builder should be able to help. Seriously, your plans will need a lot of information specific to your site and it's not possible to use generic plans - even if such a thing existed.

Probably the most important thing to check is your local council's building regs, especially in respect to the maximum size, especially maximum height before a DA is required. My recollection of previous sheds discussions is that the desirable ceiling height is 2.7 to 3.0 m. For ideas you could look at www.sheds.com.au I was in Cooma a few weeks ago and saw their add on the back of a local paper, apart from that I know absolutely nothing about the company.

The last project in the Triton Project Book (available from Triton distributors) is a review of shed manufacture which they describe as being a "description of the techniques involved in standard timber framed construction". Council regs important though. Furniture and Cabinet making just ran a couple of articles on setting up a work shed by a bloke called Rob Stoakley. Cheers
