I'm only 20 min. from the gold coast. I'm not sure my wife would appreciate another couple popping up for a day or two but you sure are invited to pass by for an afternoon of showing you my instruments, tools and chatting about the building part.

great looking bass guitars
Phil,
Just finished readiing about the two bass guitars you built.
Absolutely awesome.
This project of mine may have to wait until my wife and I move into our own place. She can have the garage, I'm gonna get me a shed
I was considering using a natural lacquer to show off the natural wood, plenty of time to consider it though. From how much work will be involved probably won't be able to even start until mid next year..
At least that gives me plenty of time to research exactly what type of guitar I want to make....maybe I should make a bass instead?
hope my wife is as patient and understanding as yours is. Should be okay, my wife keeps wanting quite time to read and do chick stuff.
thanks heaps,
HBDon't live in the past, it's just so yesterday!

Gerard Gilet is a very experienced luthier and for $125 a day I think youd be getting pretty good value.
