    thanks jenkinsr for the link to these slides. Interesting that it has a locking mechanism.

    I have ordered my Hafele 550mm full extension drawer runners online from Elraco for $114 for 10 of them including $22 postage and handling costs with each order, and they were delivered to NQ from SA in a week ( taking into account it was Melbourne Cup week in the south).

    Great quality slides, rated 45kg, no sloppy play in them either, easy to fit. My second go at slides, the first was a disaster in cabinet construction : )

    In the end I used the traveller locking rail as suggested above. You can see the photos of the rail and the chest of drawers here. Didn't even need to put a lock on the rail to hold it in the closed position - it held itself in position by the force of the outside edges of the LH drawer fronts.
