    Thumbs up Supplier praise

I've just dealt with Gary at Magnetic Abrasives in Carnegie ... they deal with AVSyntec, Hermes, 3M etc etc. Their motto is 'You name it, we'll get it".
Their only drawback is they haven't entered the electronic age yet (no web, no phone Credit Cards) so you have to send a cheque or cash.
I rang and named it, they got and posted, no muss no fuss.
    Thanks guys, I'll be back.

We should start a list of preferred supplies like they do at the end of game shows etc ....

"When shopping for abrasives we prefer to shop at Magnetic Abrasives in Carnegie.
    Monitors supplied by Sony.
When in Sydney we prefer to stay at a dodgy backpackers in Coogee"

    Stinky

Dont be surprised if many small suppliers don't offer certain "modern" methods of payment.

unless you are a large player or at least passing a good number of transactions the banks either arent interested or are going to charge the business heavily for the "convielience" of a credit card facility. Not to mention the loops you have to go thru to get a telephone credit authorisation.

The figures I was quoted last time I enquired was like 5% of invoice value and a monthly fee for the service and a monthly fee for the equipment.

If the small operators prices are just a shade better than the large place down the road & his service is better hes probably able to do it because He dosn't have those extra imposts.

In brisbane I support "active abrasives" excelent service & good prices for name brand stuff.

Power to the little man like you & me.
