Thick veneers - hiding end grain?
Hi all,
I'm about to cut myself some veneers and was planning on making them thick for extra durability (about 3mm). But I've realised that thick veneers means there's the potential for the end grain being visible that might stand out too much and visually detract from my project.
Is there any corner techniques for thick veneers so there's no visible end grain? I was thinking of maybe mitering the veneers, but if it get's too complicated, I might just go with thinner veneers.
I'm veneering big torsion box shelves that are 1750 x 450 x 60.
Cheers

Not an expert with veneers (or anything in particular), but I'd miter the edges. A router with a bevel bit would be the easiest way to do this I think.
Best of luck
