Timber frame for sliding door
I am fitting a sliding door to a garage (where a single roller door exists).
The sliding door is going on the outside of the roller door... my question is this, how do I frame the aluminium sliding door?
As it's outside I plan to use Meranti... will this be OK?
All help appreciated.
Thanks,
Dick

Meranti does not last well outside. Maybe better to use cyprus or a dence hardwood ironbark, sugargum, malat, redgum, jara etc. Or coat it with paint etc
