    Default Timber slabs in Brissy wanted

    Hi all.

    I am in need of some timber slabs in the Brisbane area.

    Dimensions:
    1 x 50mm thick - 300mm wide - 3600mm long
    1 x 50mm thick - 650mm wide - 3000mm long

    They are for a bar bench top. Looking for darker timber. Open to suggestions.

    Heaps of places offer slabs these days. Do a search in the yellow pages, trading post etc and numerous suppliers will show up.
    What type of timber are you after?

    I know Brett's has a lot of slabs available. Last time I was there there were plenty of large blue or red gum slabs available.

    I've got some bloodwood in about those sizes, perhaps not quite so thick. A bit wild and woolly but very dry and lots of character. Haven't thought about price but would consider selling as I'm moving in the new year and dont fancy taking them with me.
