Wax for glue protection
Hi. Who uses wax for keeping excess glue and glue squeeze-out off timber during glue-ups. If so, what brand do you use and where do you get it from ? What do you clean the wax off with afterwards ? Have you ever experienced problems with applying finishes afterwards ?
cheers
Arron

Have never bothered, just don't put too much glue on.

Sounds good Alex. I havent heard of floor wax. I cant find it in our local supermarket. Where do you buy it ?
I also hadnt realised a toothbrush is the perfect size, shape and stiffness for cleaning off.
Thanks

Wax
G'day Y'all,
I use a block of Paraffin that I buy in the grocery store. I use on the top of the Ts and the BS to keep them from rusting and it makes the wood slide easy, I use in it mixed up in mineral oil as a finish for food safe projects, I use it on screws in hardwoods. I use it to mask off areas to keep glue or paint in its place and I clean it with lacquer thinner or alcohol, I also use it on the ends of fresh cut timber to keep it from cracking.
Regards
Joe
