    Smile Wood telephones

Here's a couple of photos of two (Working) telephones I made a few years ago.
One is based on the "Candlestick" 1930s type telephone and the other is of the "box" Wallphone type - This one plays "Waltzing - Matilda" when the little drawer at the bottom is opened ,
I fitted a music box movement to it .
Both of these telephones work ,
I salvaged the electrical components from two damaged telephones I came across.

The wall mounted one is much better than the originals, they were made in a very dark, almost black colour.

    Nice work.

How do you know you are in a woodworker's home? Why, they have a wooden telephone, of course! (amongst many other clues, of course!)

'xcuse me, I must go and update my list of Must Builds for my house!
